Reliable contraception. Planning for the future.

Choosing the right contraceptive method depends on various medical factors and each woman’s stage of life. Our practice provides comprehensive information about the available options, assessment of potential risk factors, and appropriate follow-up care.

Contraceptive Methods

Counseling and follow-up are provided for:

  • hormonal contraception – such as the contraceptive pill, vaginal ring, or transdermal patch
  • intrauterine devices (IUDs) – hormonal and copper IUDs
  • non-hormonal contraceptive methods
  • long-term contraception
  • permanent methods of contraception (sterilization)

Insertion and removal of intrauterine devices (IUDs), as well as ultrasound assessment of their position, are performed in the practice.

Trying to Conceive & Fertility Evaluation

When pregnancy does not occur, a systematic fertility evaluation can help identify possible causes. The assessment may include:

  • gynecological examination and ultrasound
  • assessment of the uterus and ovaries
  • evaluation of the menstrual cycle and ovulation
  • hormonal testing
  • assessment of ovarian reserve
  • investigation of possible anatomical or structural causes
  • where appropriate, further evaluation of both partners

Surgical Fertility Evaluation

When further investigation is required, a diagnostic laparoscopy may be performed. This allows assessment of the fallopian tubes and can identify conditions such as endometriosis, adhesions, or other abnormalities within the pelvis that may affect fertility.

Where possible and medically appropriate, certain findings can be treated directly during the same minimally invasive procedure.

Based on the results of the evaluation, the appropriate next diagnostic or therapeutic steps can be determined. When necessary, further treatment can be coordinated in collaboration with specialized assisted reproduction and fertility centers.

Family planning means making the right choice for today while keeping tomorrow’s possibilities in mind.
